Default Anyone prefer Killer Instinct on SNES of the KI: Gold (N64)

Title was supposed to read: "Anyone prefer Killer Instinct on the SNES over KI: Gold (N64)?

I've noticed in quite a few reviews that I've read that a few people seem to prefer the original SNES title.

    Seemed a little odd.

Uh, isn't that in a sense a bit apples and oranges?

SNES KI was a very scaled down (but playable) copy of KI.

N64 KI:G was a bastardized version of KI:2, which I never personally liked as it was so different from the original.

I preferred both, but ive played the SNES one more. I didnt like the blurryness of the N64's sprites however theres nothing like MAME.mmmmmm.

The combo system was a little more rewarding for me in KI2 but, overall, I found the game play of the original to personally be more fun in KI. I was constantly at the arcades during the height of these games so I really didn't play them much at home. Both games are different enough in a number of ways that each have different pros and cons, but given the topic, I'd rather play the SNES KI as I enjoy the engine just a tad more.

I prefer the SNES game simply because my favorite character (Cinder) isn't in KI Gold.

I prefer KI: Gold mainly because I liked the combo system better, and the animation is a bit better than the SNES KI. I loved both of them though but I think just for the combos, I'll go with KI:G.

I've always thought Killer Instinct Gold on the N64 blew away Killer Instinct on the SNES. The grahpcs are much better, the music is much better, and the game is smoother and faster.

Yes, I'd rather play Mace: The Dark Age than Street Fighter. I'd rather play Street Fighter II than both of them though.

Even if it were a Pojo vs. Pojo match?
