    I don't have kids to raise yet (i'm 28), i have a garbage car..i made my choices
. Yes, it is pretty amazing how many games can be collected over a decade or so! For myself, though, I end up selling back the games I don't enjoy enough to play again. Otherwise I would probably have a nearly complete set myself!

One question: where do you keep it all? With a growing collection, its obvious that space will be in short supply. Have you thought moving to a bigger place, or are you quite content with your current quarters?

Besides that, excellent collection! My hat's off to you and your devotion, padre.

    3) Just your top favorite Saturn games in general. The ones you hold most near and dear to your heart.
    2) No,i have it factory sealed, but i played the PC Engine version of it,and i enjoyed it.

    3) RPGs: Far East of Eden Daiyon no Mokushiroku,Lunar,Dragon Force,Ray Earth,Shining Force 3 Scenarii 1,2,3 come to my mind. Falcom Classics or Phantasy Star Collection too,but it's only a "rehash" of older games.

Shoot'them ups: Thunder Force 5 will always be my favourite on the system (i prefer horizontal ones to vertical ones)

    Platforms/action: Shin Shinobiden,Taromaru,Astal,Guardian Heroes,Rockman X 4..

Fighting: XMen Vs Street Fighter was really great back at the time

I could have collected 10 times more if i was going to buy any loose game, but i'm only interested in complete in box games, and complete collections.

Otherwise, with 1 Power League Gold Hucard, you could buy thousands of loose nes games.
As i always said,i'm doing "quality over quantity"
Even if, finally,i have a big quantity of complete in box/factory sealed games (near 10000)

    Already answered.
Maybe i'll go for SG-1000/SC3000 to have the complete sega fullset (To me i already have it since i was too young to enjoy those games back at the time, but well historically i need them)
Maybe Gamecube, maybe Famicom, or maybe nothing.
After 24 fullsets, you'll understand my position

I'd like to know where the heck you found some of those games... I'm still trying to find a factory sealed copy of Sakamoto Ryuma again... I made the mistake of passing one up a couple of years ago, and I haven't seen another one since then... it doesn't even show up used, much less factory sealed!

Astonishing. So what do you use to record what you have? There must be some way you import a list of all game candidates and can check them off as you go. How often are you getting duplicates?

Extremely often..that's why i have so many Saturn games to sell. I never wanted all of those, but getting lots of games are the cheapest way to get the games at the best price..but you have to sell back the ones you don't need, and i have hundreds now

    I used Daigirin list
Sega Japanj official list (back when it was online on their japanese website)
    this list:http://homepage2.nifty.com/gamedatab...C3_SS_top.html
    and satakore list.

Ohh my... I don't even know what to say fellow
I always thought japanese SS is a debris system. Soooo many obscure games there as well as different not for sales and such...It's amazing you did it. It's a very big goal imho.
Your example was always very good for me. Motivation is everything, money does not really matter.

Well, having had a quick look on VGI, the Saturn version definitely looks like the cheapest. Sealed copy there for £40, cheaper than a 2nd hand PS1 version.

£120 for the PCE version with a cutout from the magazine ..

Feeling quite glad to be Sega fanboy at the moment. Hopefully a bit more searching will find me a decent non-sealed copy for a bit less than £40 ...

The PCE version is rare, because it was only in a magazine..and the CD handles Motteke Tamago but other games as well( so basically you're not buying that game only)..but it goes for 6000-7000 Yens on Yahoo generally (more if you have the issue, and the game is still sealed in the issue)

I gave you a link for the game on Yahoo for 3500 Y IIRC,that is way less than 40£?

well perhaps living in Europe helps, since so many European sellers seem to have lots of hard to find games that they kindly refuse to ship to the USA!

I just wish that I could find the few titles that I still want for my collection... I thought that it would be easy to find new copies of all the Koei wargames and other strategy games, but this has not been the case for a few titles that never seem to show up at all on ebay, or they only show up used... I guess they really went nuts over some of these games in Japan, back in the day... some Koei games especially seem to be very difficult to locate sealed!

anyhow, if anybody ever happens across them, I'm still looking for these:

    Sakamoto Ryuma
    Edo Renaissance

I'll leave it at those for now, although ultimately I'm looking for a few more...
