Anybody played it yet? Have any opinions on it compared to the original? That was a great time-waster. Not terribly deep, but made an awesome game to play in bed at night.

Just picked it up along with Luminous Arc and Izuna. Right now Izzie's got my attention, but I'll pop in Etrian tonight.

If you liked the 1st one you'll like the 2nd. It's a little harder but not completely more of the same.
I'd love to take the EO engine and make a Bard's Tale game. Hell, I've already got a Bard's Tale 4 game pretty much finished because of the BT construction set on the Amiga.
I've been hoping someone would release a generic dungeon ccrawler construction set for XP/Vista so I could get it out there.

Can anyone help me? I"m stuck on the Disappeared guard mission from the Duke on the third floor and I can't get to the part needed to finish the quest, which is blocked by an elk boss (with a second one behind it, which gets called in during battle). I tried using the Lure Bell, to no avail. I still get my ass kicked. My characters are levels 11-12, and I tried to make it a balanced team.
Anyone got any clue? Online search gave me nothing except one GameFAQs walkthrough that was not helpful at all. Even youtube has nothing.
Finally, managed to make it through with the lure bell. Needless to say that I saved my game as soon as I got back to the town!
A month later, I'm still playing and still not tireing of this game, which surprises me, since I expected it to frustrate me and make me give it up.
I'm up to level 18 (Fourth Stratum) and my characters are levels 53-54.
