In case you forgot, it almost killed the video game industry.

Absolute agreement from me. A worthy read on the story behind the localisation process for Power Blade can be found in "The Man Behind Captain Nintendo" on www.nesplayer.com
weird. I just got done playing through Top Secret Episode the other day. That was such an awesome game, and they really needed to make more than just the two of em on NES.
The one on MSX is.... yeah.
not so great.
Star Tropics is an awesome game. I got it CIB for 39 cents at funco land. I really liked the puzzles, the story progression and the wonky dungeon setup.
This reminds me of another game I rarely hear mentioned: The Magic of Scheherazade.
EDIT: wtf. the next thread I read (Crystalis Thread) is full of Magic of Scheherazade talk.
lol.
When you have a conversation about the NES with someone its rare that you will find someone who will go "Oh wow StarTropics, I remember those games they kicked ass". Its all about the Zelda, Mario, and the Mega Man. I'm talking about not on the internet.
What's up with islands? Get more land.
What's up with deserts? Get less sand.
IMHO Golgo 13 is terrible. The first person view parts of the game completely ruined it.
Real life is a miserable venue for discussing video games, in my experience.
I remember playing a bit of Star Tropics, but I didn't get hooked. I should really try some more of it since you insist so much, though.

Yeah, the music is so excellent that I bought a boxed copy when I was stationed in Japan, even though I can't read a damn thing in the game. Such a shame .
Is the translation finished yet? I remember there was one going at a snails pace for pretty much the entire last decade...
