well, i've got a spare NES system.
it works, running all games with no problems, except that no matter what, after ~15 minutes, it freezes.
any ideas?

try changing the 72 pin connector if u havnt already.
i replaced it with a new one last week, had the problem before, still has it now.
You sure it's not an XBOX 360 inside? Does this happen with all your games?
Possibly a problem with the heat sink?

Have you tried a different power supply? The old one could be dying. You can also use the supply from a model-1 Genesis.
If it's not the power supply, then my next guess would be the internal voltage regulator. Those parts experience more heat than anything else.
If you have a multimeter, you could also try checking the operating voltage that the chips are receiving.
It could also be a bad solder joint somewhere.
Other than that, it could be pretty much any chip in there failing when it heats up.
