I think they came pretty out good, you can't even tell that I accidentally crinkled part of the ocarina of time poster 10 years ago

I got Another World from gog.com this weekend since it was on sale. It came with a few extras including nice high quality wallpapers.
I cropped a wallpaper, had it printed on nice matte paper and got a frame for it.
Total price:
Another World @ gog.com - $6.99
Printing the 8x10 photo - $2.99
Frame - $6.00
TOTAL PRICE - approx. $16.00 including the game, which is worth 16 bucks on its own
Does anyone else do stuff like this? I've not done it before because I think it wouldn't look right, but it turned out great!
Click for larger image - it looks a little washed out in the picture, but in real life it's nice and vibrant.
What are the odds? I just posted a really similar thread here:

Mods, please merge these two threads.
BTW, those posters look great.
That looks ace. Where do you get your frames? I have a bunch of posters that I'd love to put up, but I'd like to get them framed first.
I lucked out, my brothers girlfriend works for a framing store, 'Aaron Brothers'
not sure what the actual cost should have been

I LOVE the Day of the Tentacle one.
Where did you get it?!?
awesome
how did you get something that big printed?
I also have the Defend Atlantis contest form framed, various vintage catalogs, etc. and a lenticular Sword of Mana postcard.
Wants:
Starflight Starmap and Code Wheel
Starflight II Starmap
Got these for sale or trade? PM ME!!!
I've done this before with arcade flyers. Smaller pictures, but the best part is that most flyers are double-sided, so whenever you get tired of the picture, just flip it over and put the frame back on.
@Hari: Those are simply awesome.
"I am a cipher, wrapped in an enigma, smothered in secret sauce."
They all look very vibrant and stand out well, awesome =]
That Sonic 2 poster looks awesome dnehthend, where did you get it?
I've got some posters framed myself, namely Super Mario Galaxy, NiGHTS Journey of Dreams, Mario Power Tennis, and Mario Golf Toadstool Tour.
I'll have to take pictures of them when I get home.
Those look awesome. I had this idea a few years ago, but moreso with blown up box art.
Does anyone know of a site that will take an image file and blow it up onto a standard sized poster? I got the idea after looking at a few shirts I had with music album cover art on them, and figured certain game covers would look awesome framed, like this one...

I don't believe that it is possible to take a small image and make it bigger with good quality.
You need no find a high resolution image and the print it into a poster.
If anyone know sites where we can get high res game related image I would appreciate.
I woul love to find a big version of this picture to make a poster:
My only idea would be to print off a nice regular sized image and then put the result into a scanner and produce a really massive image. I'm sure the quality would be downgraded along the way though.
I might just have to settle for the biggest images I can find in a google image search, or whatever I find off of eBay.
your only option is to scan a copy of the box and clean it up in photoshop.
Nice! I have some posters that I've been meaning to get frames for. A couple Lunar posters that I got at a convention back in 2004 that have been collecting dust. I wonder if I can find any of my old Genesis posters....
All those posters makes my mouth water. I am trying to find a mario and mortal kombat 1 posters.
