Not bad, but I would have substituted Sensible Soccer with Hunter (Activision). Classic that.
Where's Cannon Fodder, Turrican, and Last Ninja?
This list is total garbage. Several games on there are just Amiga ports from the PC including Civilization, X-com and Dune II and while they're decent, they certainly aren't better than the virtually identical PC releases, especially when you consider the disc swapping that had to occur given that many Amiga users didn't own hard drives in the early 90s.
There are of course lots of different types of Amiga users. I was gonna say this guy is probably from the U.S. with his choices (ICFTD???!?), but it actually looks like he's a UK man. Anyway, action-loving-guy will always choose Turrican, Xenon 2, etc; boring-strategy-loving-guy will always choose Civ and Dune; adventure-loving-guy will always choose Monkey Island, etc...
For me, I'd add more Turrican, Robocod, Apidya, Cannon Fodder, Hunter, Stunt Car Racer, Knights of the Sky, and Another World...
Not in many years they haven't been. Even the Amiga ports of most arcade games were somewhat different than the arcade versions. In any event, it's pretty clear this guy wasn't an Amiga user back in the day as I don't think many people would claim the Amiga ports of Civilization or Dune II were some of the best games on the system.
I think it's the opposite -- he may have been an Amiga user back in the day, but he doesn't care about it now. Civilization and Dune II are great games. If your only system back then was an Amiga, you played the Amiga versions and you likely have nostalgia for playing them on Amiga. Whereas the real reason to celebrate Amiga today is for the games that set it apart -- either unique to Amiga, or best on Amiga. Most people who care about the Amiga today, and aren't just taking a trip down memory lane, would be talking about those games.

Wow, people angrily disagree with a top 10 list. That almost NEVER happens.

An Amiga top 10 list without a single Lotus game is no top 10 list.
Speedball 2 - Only played this properly on the MD, but the control was a bit stiff and it was pretty easy to score from the other side of the field because the opposing player couldn't see his goalie in time. Meh.
It Came From the Desert - Visually impressive adventure game with a well made oppressive atmosphere, decent tactical elements, and pretty bad action sequences. Haven't played it enough to tell if it's top 10 material, but it seems reasonable.
UFO: Enemy Unknown - This is an inferior version of a great game, save for maybe the music. Needs an A1200 and a HD to run well.
Dune II - This is of course a groundbreaking game, but honestly its hard to go back to seeing as the genre has evolved quite a bit since then in terms of control, AI, balance and gameplay depth. Amiga version sounds great, but seems to run kinda slow.
Lemmings - Didn't care much for Lemmings back then, unlike most people around me it seemed. It's good, just not that entertaining to me.
Pirates! - Good port of a classic, from the looks of it. I think I only played the Gold version myself, but it's been a while now. Combat seems rather sluggish now, but they really squeezed a lot of cool stuff into it considering its age.
Theme Park - Good idea and execution, and surprisingly funny too. Not sure how it holds up though, haven't played it in years and never on the Amiga.
Sensible Soccer - Yep, good soccer game with a unique feel to it.
Worms - I dunno, preferred Scorched Tanks back then. Maybe it's the voices. Not sure I'd like this much at all now since it's kind of random and casual.
Civilization - I've yet to really give this series a chance, always seemed rather convoluted and drab to me... I've also read recently that this is a really slow version.
So it's a decent list of games, though the Amiga isn't the best platform for all of them. Mine would look something like this:
1. Cannon Fodder
2. International Karate +
3. Another World
4. Sensible World of Soccer
5. Toki
6. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
7. Benefactor
8. James Pond II
9. Turrican II
10. Gravity Force
11+ Rodland, Chaos Engine, D/Generation, Chuck Rock II, Paradroid 90, Shadow of the Beast III, Pinball Dreams, Pirates!, Secret of Monkey Island, Parasol Stars, Scorched Tanks, Micro Machines, Dynablaster, Flashback, Disposable Hero, Bubble Bobble, Exile
That writer clearly has just a cursory knowledge of Amiga games.
