That mega drive is a definite fake, the motherboard is a clear give away.
Here is a vid about one.

But here you culd hook up sega cd, and motherboard is bigger...hm
Its a clone (albeit a good one) the Pal MD2 has red switches and black cartridge flap thingys
It doesn't have an M68000; I wonder if it can even play Mega Drive games.
Also, lol at "HIGH GRADE MULTIPURPOSE USE" above the cartridge slot.

I had a fake one too new in box, it was in a different box though. One of the many games listed on the back was Super Mario World. I'm almost positive these are actually famiclone consoles, I didn't actually play mine to confirm this.
It'd be really odd for a familiar to have an edge connector on the side like that
I bought a model 2 clone with the same box (along with a PAL Genesis 3 clone) last month. Both I purchased were the same GOAC clones just in different shells.
That is the same thing I thought of. I've never seen one bother with the edge connector or even a heatsink like this one has. Looks like this was an older clone that tried to replicate using actual hardware and not the standard GOAC setup.
That's perhaps the best looking bootleg I've ever seen.

Scroll down to Mega Drive 2 (Unknown)
I think its a clone and you should send it back and ask ure money back .....
Ive seen this scam in hongkong and romania
Next time try buy from someone well known
I bought it on ebay...as original.I will try to send back it...
If I may ask, do you have a link to the eBay listing where you bought this clone? I'd like to get one of these to run some experiments on the chipset as I'm planning on designing a Genesis hardware clone based around that chipset.
Check the AV jack. Missing RGB output is yet another sign of a fake.
Lum fan.
These fake consoles are really something!
