So, I got an XBOX ONE for Christmas and the first thing I do after hours of system updates is put an audio CD into the player...aaaaaand nothing. Is there REALLY not an application that plays audio CDs as part of the OS? I downloaded an (the?) audio player, and it seems I can't rip my music to the hard drive like I could with the XBOX and XBOX360. You cant even rewind or fast forward tracks.
WTF!? Seriously? I had to download over a gig of updates of god knows what before I could even use the console, which took hours, and you're telling me that I can't even use a freaking audio CD out of the box, and when I DOWNLOAD something that'll let me, I can't even rip my music anymore?
Each XBOX iteration is worst than the last when it comes the way they handle your music. The original actually let you use custom soundtracks of your ripped audio with a lot of games. The 360 didn't, it only let you play your audio in the background which isn't anywhere near the same, and super shitty by comparison. Now this ugly, heavy ass brick of a console can't even rip my music to it at all!? Or am I missing something here? I possibly could be, because the interface on this thing is just HORRIBLE. It's a convoluted mess.
Jesus, I know I'm late to the party, but this experience has reinforced my feelings about not being cut out for modern console gaming.
