Default SNES Controllers Still Being Made

Hi, all. I'm trying to figure out the 3rd party company that still manufactures SNES controllers. I've seen a few new SNES controllers at a couple of GameStops, and I can't seem to recall whether it was Pelican or InterAct or some other company.

I thought that I remembered seeing the Pelican name on the box, but their web site doesn't show anything of the sort, and InterAct's web site seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. So, I turn to you guys. As always, thanks in advance.

InterAct is dead. I miss 'em.

The SNES knockoffs that I own are by Innovation. They are the best- the feel of the plastic lets you know it was a cheap jobbie but they got the texture and colors SPOT ON. They also play fairly well for pirate controllers, to say the least.

I know Nintendo still makes SNES controllers -- and the newer type (the much better 'dogbone') of the NES controllers. Which is pretty cool in and of itself. You don't see Sega still making Genesis controlers, do you?

Interact is dead? Jeez... That's alarming. I feel ignorant.

Wow. I always kind of thought that Nintendo still manufactured SNES controllers, but I always assumed that they were order-only. Is this correct?

I'm interested in these newer ones for two reasons: 1. They're easy to buy brand-new (duh). 2. They aren't first party; Nintendo is known for its quality products, and I need one with solder points! Pelican controllers usually fall under this category, so I was hoping...

Interact is dead? Does that mean the company is no more?

Those off brand controllers that look exactly like the real snes controllers work ok. Nothing beat the real snes controller, nintendo brand, it rocks!!

As far as I know, you can get new ones only from Nintendo (their online store), used ones in places like GameStop, and both on EBay.

    Default i.

Well, if Interact are dead that would explain the large number of cheap Shadowblade Arcade sticks for the PS2 floating around. I guess they liquidated and people have been snapping up cheap stock.

Very nice Arcade Sticks actually, if you can get your hands on them.

Yep, Lik-Sang had made an announcement on its website sometime around last summer. InterAct went under due to some grief by Pelican, or over the GameShark trademark, or something. Anyway they have a buttload of cheap stock know since they bought most of the leftovers.

Of all the third party stuff InterAct wasn't so bad.. I mean back in the 16-bit heyday you could get a new controller with an extension cable for 10 bucks, and their cleaning kits even mentioned and included tools for the Master System and TG-16 when they were long dead marketwise.
