Same idea for me.
A way long time ago, dumping my N64 and a library of 32 boxed games in mint condition for a PSX 9001 and a fistful of games. I had to see what the other side had to offer.
Soon afterwards I bought another 64 and since then I've become an avid N64 collector, but I can't recover the titles that I sold in quite the condition that I originally had them in.
My N64, NES and Genny stuff do not get traded in....ever. I learned something, I guess.
I have a couple moments I really do regret...
-Getting rid of my N64, to buy a PS1(PS1 is great, but selling systems is always a bad idea)
-Buying Superman 64!
Buying Def Jam Vendetta for the Gamecube because me and my buddies like rap music and thought it would be a fun game to have. Oh well. I returned it and got something that was actually fun.

-Buying Space Ace for the Super Nintendo. Ugh. What a piece of crap. I spent 20 minutes trying to get past the first part of the game and I couldn't dodge the shots being fired at me more than 4 times. I finally gave up, and returned it to Gamestop, exchanging it for Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (also for SNES). The only way I'd ever buy Space Ace again is if I decided to go for a complete SNES collection someday.
-Selling Super Mario RPG for $20 back when I was in high school. I don't know what the hell I was thinking.
-Same with Mechwarrior 3050 for SNES... but I didn't get a fair deal on that one.
-Losing most of the boxes and manuals to a lot of my SNES games back in the day.

Selling my copy of Bonk's Adventure for the NES.
Selling my Wacky Races NES game, and also the other game with the shooting targets I forgot the name of with the balloons and dishes and such (help plzz)
Since I was a looseless kid owning systems, well.... not everything i have is in great condition. I am glad I kept the boxes out of light though (good thing for living in dark areas)
Trying to play Nights without the 3D controller
and, in 4th grade, after hearing a kid's story of how a burglar broke into his house and stole his saturn, being the smartass i was i said 'Dont worry, no one cares about saturns anymore'. I want to kick myself in the nuts then, since I'm hounding after Saturn games now. well, then again, it was around the time of it's death x_x
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
.... Ohhhhhh.. Regretted. I get it now.
I regret trading in everything I ever traded in. But of course, money was tight. But I oh so wish I still had everything I got rid of.

Getting rid of my turbo grafx and games, to this day I can't remember what I did with them. It's not so much the system but the games, there are several I've been trying to get back now. Also, trading in my copy of Symphony of the night. I had bought it for next to nothing so I was extatic when I found out I could get way more in trade in then what I paid. I sure miss that game now, I can't wait to find it again.
Be excellent to one another. Party on dudes!
The only thing I can think of right now was selling the original Final Fantasy, manual, map, and all, when I was only about four years old. I couldn't figure out how the hell to play the game, neither could my brother. It was just too frustrating, and Garland actually managed to knock us all down, several times. Not knowing how it could be played, manual or not, we sold it. Sure, I own it for the NES now, but I just have the game, and not anything else. This is why I'm not selling anything that I currently have. I probably never will, unless finances become truly desperate.
That's it! Next stop: The Junkyard. Population: You!
