You must be Dirk, Dirk the Daring
Yeah Valve did a sweet job on that physics engine... I just recently picked the HL2: Collectors edition up during that EBgames.com sale, and I am NOT dissapointed! Sets the standards for all FPS games.

Haha, that was pretty damn sweet. I'd love it if he really creates some super domino rigs! I do like watching the world championships, or whatever it is, on TV. Some of the designs are fantastic!
that dude getting smashed at the end is freaky.. Bet that gave him a lil headache...

"Yeah Valve did a sweet job on that physics engine"
The now closed Papyrus Racing Games division of Sierra did the physics engine, not Valve.
I am sure that is correct, however I am sure Valve had just a little say in the development of the engine, had to approve it, work with it, tweak it, etc....

Actually Valve licensed the Havok physics engine:

The same code (engine) is used in Halo2 and Painkiller.

Can you dig it, yes I can.
Yes, that's true, but Papyrus was the original developer of the Havok physics engine. Its continued on though, was spun off around late 2003, early 2004, or so my contacts at Papyrus told me.
Edit-Wonder if my source exagerrated a bit and Papyrus just assisted with Havok.
"Havok was founded in 1998 by Hugh Reynolds and Steven Collins and has its origins in the computer science department of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Havok has a dedicated team made up of very talanted individuals who work together to serve clients and enable them to set a new standard in terms of realism and interactivity in games."
Was well before Papyrus entered the project in early 2003.
I'm no fan of HL2 (or HL period), but that video was really well done.
I did something like that in Gary's mod, but it wasnt as fancy
