I only own about 55 games or so but I'm sure some people would consider that quite a bit for a system still in production.

My top 10 (some happen to be ports/remakes):

    1.) Astro Boy: Omega Factor
    2.) Ninja Five-0
3.) Mario & Luigi: Super Star Saga
    4.) Mega Man Zero 3
5.) Super Puzzle Fighter II: Turbo
    6.) Fire Emblem
    7.) Metroid: Zero Mission
8.) Street Fighter Alpha 3 (It's a mazing how well the GBA handels this game. The only negative points are due to the hardware: the weak audio and the lack of 6 buttons on the GBA)
    9.) Mega Man Zero 2
10.) Advance guardian Heroes (Despite popular belief, this game doesn't suck. People just like to compare games to other games)

The whole ist will eventually be bumped down two slots, taking the current #9 and #10 off the list. Gunstar Super Heroes and Metal Slug (port of the origional) will no doubt be the new occupants of the #1 and #2 spots respectively.

I could have sworn we have done a list like this before. I am too lazy to dig through the forums and find it...so here is mine in no particular order:

    Advance Wars 2
    Astro Boy
    Advance Guardian Heroes
    Super Puzzle Fighter
    Phantasy Star Collection
    Metroid Fusion
    Pac-Man Collections
    Pinball of the Dead
Boktai: The Sun Is In Your Hands

I've played less and less GB ever since the color version hit. So I haven't even played that many Advance games. But I will say you MUST own Advance Wars. Hands down my favorite GBA game, and my third favorite GB game ever (behind Mario's Picross and Tetris).

My favourite top ten GBA games are:

    1. Zelda - Link To The Past & Minish Cap
    2. Sword Of Mana
    3. Breath Of Fire I & II
    4. Metroid - Fusion & Zero Mission
    5. Final Fantasy - Tactics Advance & Dawn Of Souls
    6. Golden Sun - I & II
    7. Broken Sword
    8. Mario Advance I, II, III, IV, & Superstar Saga
    9. Kirby - Nightmare In Dreamland & Amazing Mirror
    10. Metal Slug Advance

Yes, I cheated somewhat, but I think you'll agree that you can't really split som series - Especially things like Golden Sun which is technically one game separated into two parts...

Gradius Advance (I think it's the same game with european name) has new stages, but plays really old-school. Personal I never got into the game as I can't play shooters on such a small screen. The graphics are great, that's for sure, so if you have no problem play shooters on a handheld I can recommand the game.

    My other favorites are:
    Castlevania (all the games)
NES Classics, or go for the import ones with have a much nicer box with mini famicom covers inside.
King of Fighters EX (both, but they don't play as well as the R series on the NGP)
Metal Slug Advance (even better then the NGPC versions)
ChuChu Rocket (Nothing needs to be said I think)
Sonic Advance (all 3 are great Sonic games, and I like them more then the Adventure series as this is the real 2D sonic, with a new style)

Think this are the games I played most on it. (ok I play more early GB B/W on my system, but that's something different).

Edit. I fotgot Bubble Bobble Old & New, a great version of the alltime classic.

Gonna make this a shorter list - I have a bunch of GBA games, but have not had time to play them all. I spend 75% or more of my GBA time on the Pokemon series, which IMO is the perfect GBA game.

-Pokemon series (Fire Red / Leaf Green / Ruby / Sapphire / Emerald)
    -Advance Wars
-Castlevania series (Aria of Sorrow is best, but others are good, too)
    -River City Ransom EX
    -Wario Ware: Mega Microgame$
-SMA 2: Super Mario World (I feel that the addition of Luigi as a playable guy made enough changes to merit its inclusion)

Only reason Zelda: Minish Cap isn't there is because I haven't had time to play it yet.
You are startled by a grim snarl. Before you, you see 1 Red dragon. Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?

There is a slightly steep "learning hump" from the moment the game begins. The first time through, most people tend to die a LOT before they even reach stage 2 (or...at least...everyone I have talked to). Once you're over that hump, however, the difficulty dips and the gameplay becomes very addicting (I've played through it at least 10 times now). For myself, it was simply learning how to take advantage of the reflect system.

Average Joe Blow, unfortunately, doesn't have time to climb humps. He wants his games to be obvious right away. No time to figure things out you know. So it gets a shitty score. I do, however, have time to climb humps now days. So I'd give it a very good score. *shrug* my 2 cents.

Aww man, I hate doing these types of lists off the top of my head. I completely forgot about two of Konami's best titles for this system, one which would have definately made the top 10. Gradius Galaxies is a great addition to the Gradius series and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is a masterpiece, almost as good as SoTN in my books.
