Soon we will have tetris on our stove and mario on our fridge. That will be the day we have gone to far.

All my meseta if you can guess what CMTZ stands for.
Thats just plain cool.
Oh, by the way, they have fridges with TV's in them, so I'm sure you could not only play Mario, but any other game you wanted with a bit of tinkering.

To me it doesn't make much sense at all to port games to the iPod, especially those without a simple control scheme. How much fun would it be to play Doom with the scrollwheel? Methinks notsomuch.
i can play music on my ipod
hahahaha
I think that the real accomplishment here is the fact that somone was able to get Doom running on an iPod. It is purely amazing! Whether or not it is playable... that's another story.Originally Posted by DrJustinRamone

You have to get the Linux distro on the iPod. It's not a fake, trust me.Originally Posted by leonk

Yes. It's every Slashdotter's wet dream to take the newest gadget out there, take it apart, and run linux on it.Originally Posted by Mr.FoodMonster
Well, I know you're an Apple fan, but the iPod is FAR from the end-all be-all music player everyone makes it out to be. I'd say features-wise, the Creative players whip it hands-down, especially in regards to playlist-making and editing. I wish I had the money for an iAudio X5, that seems to be the current king of features.Originally Posted by boatofcar
You took me the wrong way, Doctor. I wasn't laughing because I think the ipod is better than any other mp3 player. Heck, now that I'm not employed by Apple anymore, I can say some things that I was reluctant to say before.
I just thought the comment was funny.
i admit there is a little too much hype with the ipod, but the reason ipod leaped ahead of everything else is design. its intuitive to people that arent gadget nuts. when you have a little box with 34958735987 tiny buttons to support a crapload of features few people actually use you lose that design edge and it becomes another cold piece of hardware (read: work)Originally Posted by DrJustinRamone
