Default Back labels of Snes carts

Yesterday I was doing some investigating, and I found that the majority of my carts have both French and English on the back label, with the exceptions of Nintendo released games that had Canadian released versions (like Super Mario World and Star Fox). However, I was looking at some ebay auctions, and I saw a non-Nintendo cart that only had English on the back label (Smartball I believe it was). I was just wondering how widespread the French/English back label is... I figured that all carts with the exception of the ones with Canadian equivalents would have it, as I have bought games from the US with it.

This probably falls under the spectrum of the NES cart label variants, tough to gauge and quanitfy. Odds on, the English labels were early games only, but more research would need to be seen for that.

Also, there are SNES carts with the warnings embossed into the plastic too.

All mine are English only...and some of them were bought here in Canada after I moved.

I agree...it's a Nintendo of Canada variant thing probably
