Mario Party 8 will be made and will "fully support Nintendo's innovative controller". You can quote me on that, if you like!
Ok, now I'm more sold on a Wii since there's some titles I'd like to play for it but never really got used to the controller!Originally Posted by THATinkjar

That's just a rumor, nothing confirmed, but we'll know in several day's time or so, If there isn't a price cut said at E3 i hope they don't go lowering the price just after i get a 360..Originally Posted by Rev. Link
But, back to the Nintendo subject, Is that controller in the video going to be the one with tilt control? Or are there going to be 2 controllers, one for tilt control, one for games like Sonic and Mario 64?
There are two controllers. One shaped like a remote that uses the motion sensor technology, and the SNES-looking one for old school or more traditional type games.
What do you think are the chances the Wii will come with the remote/nunchuck and the old school controller?
I only need 2 more NES games (US)!
if you watch the video of the old style remote on ign
http://media.revolution.ign.com/arti...05/vids_1.html
they say its not included.
Yeah, that does suck...but since the console will be somewhat cheap I won't feel as bad shelling at the money for it. Though they could change their mind.Originally Posted by Darren870
I wonder though...since the system is backwards compatible with the Gamecube (games and controllers), couldn't you just use a Cube pad to play the virtual console games?
Id imagine you could.
The numchuck though should be included as it seems you need it for a good % of the games.
Guess we will have to wait and see, i hope they don't hold the prices till TGS

Drexel is correct, I believe you can stick with the GCN pad (or possibly the Hori Pad) for your retro gaming needs.Originally Posted by Drexel923

Well you deffinitly can use the cube controllers. They said since SSBB wont use an wii controller technology, not to toss your old GCN controllers yet.Originally Posted by GrandAmChandler

Anyway, what do you think the big differance is going to be between Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and Tony Hawk's Project 8? I thought about getting both, but i don't know.
Well, Downhill Jam is supposed to be a racing oriented game, right?
I got the feeling Project 8 is supposed to be the next game in the main series.
I only need 2 more NES games (US)!
werent you supposed to be able to turn the wii contoller, so that it looked like a old nes pad??

Certainly, if they did it, it would just be an absolute attack for the jugular of Sony. No freaking Mercy. They are likely losing about $169 on each premium they sell, so to drop it one more C note only a year later, at that point they would be losing at least $250 per unit, and I don't think they want to venture into those kinda losses. They are going to leave that to Sony for this generation.
By the way, Microsoft would be wise to try to buy a Movie Studio, so that they can offer content on Xbox Live, and also have them exclusively support HD DVD over Blu Ray.
And if you're still unsure about the power of Wii... there's a video on Gamespot from 10:30am on day 2 showing the line. Which they closed for the day at that point due to too many people
