Héhé, the game "IS" ... chuchu rocket.
It wasn't meant to be a ripoff but more an anachronic release.

There are millions of true ripoff around (ie : game concept refurbished under a totally different skin), but I dont think its really the case here, obviously.

I dont know if much people bought this game, nor played it, I suspect less than I have fingers on my hands. But well, its supposed to be as close as possible as what Sega could have done if they wanted/accepted to.
It wasn't exactly meant to be sold. It's CDR (afaik) and I'm not entirely sure but the copy protection is probably indeed ironic.

It would be interesting to have feedback from people who have a copy btw.

    Take care

Were you involved in the sale of the game in any way Fonz? Sounds like you weren't

Nope, I was not. Also, a beta of the game was sold at an event in USA by "older games" or something like that because they didn't bother waiting for the final release (the megacd audio part had a bug that took 1 year to fix).

I got some copies free to offer to some friends, as well as a bunch of megadrive games. I also got all the shipping fees (shipping the final disc to USA) refunded.

Anyway, what's done is done, I have no regret (except, again, the fact it wasn't official release supported by sonic team, geeez) ^^.

I will be reviewing the game of Classic Video Gamer Magazine issue #3. Should be interesting to see how close it is to Chu Chu Rocket and how different it is also. Either way, I am looking forward to playing it and seeing what was done.
