New one: there's something enticing about Tomodachi Life. It's like Animal Crossing, but it doesn't punish you if you don't check in every day. Personally, I think this is the best application of Miis so far.

I'm not sure why I'm into it, not really into the whole steampunk type stuff or even offbeat of the style of game, but Kotetsu Teikoku from HOT-B for the GBA (better known to many as Steel Empire for 3DS/Genesis) is fantastic. I just had to pick that up after messing with it a little on an emulator after having it suggested to me.

Super black bass on snes. Its slow paced and repetitive, but i can easily play this gane for 5 hours straight!! Its addictive
