This was the problem with the one I owned. Many years ago I bought a console with a bunch of games, basically all boxed including the console itself, from a local classified ad. I was told it was all fully working and had no problems, but when I got home and started playing it the console died within an hour of use. I ended up selling it all to another local collector who eventually got it repaired from a TV repair shop, it apparently had numerous bad solder joints that needed to be resoldered. I wish I would have kept it as it's a really neat console, it's just at the time I didn't know where I could get it repaired or how much the repairs would cost, plus I expected the console would be fragile and finicky based on that experience, and I honestly didn't have enough space to keep/store the system. Just a slight regret I have, one of many collecting wise.
