I've only played it on the Sega CD. I kinda liked it, though. I think the most annoying thing was the repetitive sounds the zombies made as you blasted them.
I played it last week on the Sega CD. It really is a cheesball game. Gotta love it.
I love my Sega CD

This WAS the cheesiest game that I had ever played...until....Fox Hunt for the PS1. I'm telling you... it's really close between this game and Fox Hunt, but I have to give the slightest of edges to Fox Hunt. No question though, Corpse Killer is absolutely god awful, and when I was first playing it, I couldn't believe that such a game would actually be released to the gaming public.

Was Corpse Killer released as an arcade light gun game, or was that Crypt Killer or something-else Killer?

That would be Konami's Crypt Killer, AKA Henry Explorers. Arcade, with Saturn and PS1 ports.
...I thought this thread was about that when I first saw it, actually. Never knew there was a Saturn version of Corpse Killer.

I wasn't aware of a Saturn version of this game either. I always thought is was exclusive to the Sega CD/32X. I'd be interested to see what sort of differences are present in the Saturn port.

Yep, came out on 5 different "platforms"
PC
3DO
Sega CD
Sega CD 32X
Saturn
The saturn had some extra stuff, it was the "Graveyard Edition"

IIRC, there's no differences except better video quality (bigger screen, more colors).
Actually a pretty fun little game -- definitely one of the better FMV games -- if for nothing else than Vincent Schiavelli's superbly hammy performance.
Edit - I guess there were a few tweaks... from Wiki:
"This version features a few exclusives such as a difficulty select (ranging from normal to bloodthirsty to cannibal), a new in-game feature that involves items and power-ups that slowly drop down from the top of the screen that can be shot and collected, and all new "in your face" zombie attacks. These attacks involve a zombie that literally pops up right in front of the "camera" and attacks the player. They can only be killed with AP rounds or Datura rounds."

Thanks for the info. I'll have to keep my eyes out for the Saturn Graveyard Edition one. Not that CK is such a great game in the first place but it has it's charm.

I used to love playing it on 32x around when it first came out. But the 32X one is choppy. How is the 3do one?
Well, you answered my question about the choppiness. I was wondering if it was the game or my Sega CD Laser. I also wonder how the 3DO version performs.

I haven't played Corpse Killer (I really ought to pick it up one of these days, my local Game Trader has Sega CD stuff cheap most of the time), but I really, really like Crypt Killer. The arcade version w/ the curtain-enclosed cabinet and triple shotguns is particularly awesome. Look up! Look Left! Good stuff.

It does have its charm I have to agree, and I have the Graveyard Edition I forgot to mention that. Either way the best part is the Jamaican guy hands down.
Was the chick played by a pornstar, because Bridget Butler just sounds like that.

3DO version was the best (Am I biased? Possibly) still, 24bit colour for the win. :)
