He's asking you a pretty important question.
What version is it?
Maybe reading the link below will help.

This type of topic probably isn't going to go over too well here, though. I'll let you know now.

I tried to find a general PSP emulation link, but things seem to have gotten a bit more complicated since I did it on my 1.5 FW PSP.

if you don't know how to find out your system's firmware, I highly suggest staying away from custom firmware and emulation. Maybe get someone who knows what they're doing. After all you don't want a bricked PSP.

Well if someone could help me figure it out. It's the one for $120. Whichever that model is???? That site doesn't help me figure it out.
If anyone can just give me the site to dowload the games I could figure it out??? I'm doing this for a friend.

The problem with that is you could have bought a PSP that's been sitting on the shelf from day one. Price doesn't tell you anything. Seriously though, have you turned the thing on and actually used it?

okay now i agree If you cant find your own firmware then theres about a 99.9% chance you will brick your psp if you want to customize it with custom firmware or downgrade to 1.5. Do this turn on your psp then go all the way to the left. then go down to system info and let me know what yur version is it will be something like this- 2.71 but can be something else. let me know what it is and ill try my best to help you!

It's Version 3.03. Any help from there?

Well, since Sony is trying to stop people from using anything but Sony verified programs on the PSP, then I suggest that you get one of those Game Park systems. I don't have one, but I have just about given up the fight to emulate on the PSP. Not worth the risk! Get something that encourages this type of activity (even though the PSP would be MUCH better).

Yeah now you need to find an unpatched copy of Grand Theft Auto: LCS. You really should find a friend that is more experienced with this stuff though, as you don't want to end up with an oversized paper-weight. It's really not that hard, but when you refer to a USB cable as a "computer connector", some of the technical terminology may to be much. Just find a friend who has downgraded before and you'll be fine.

Ok what ever you do do NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! update your psp. You are at the maxed out limit at this point to downgrade and start having fun with home brew and putting some games on your memory stick. Now if you have gta I would have no problem helping you through this. I can help you out tomorrow Sunday 12:00 in the fter noon eastern time. I will get you playing all the games you want in no time! You are going to need at least a 128MB memory card to do this. Make sure you have one by tomorrow. They are very cheap were talkin like 15-20 bucks max. You can get it at best buy GS circuit city-basically any electronic store. Make sure you dont buy a sony brand memory stick only because they are over priced but it makes the downgrade process longer.

For fucks sake, why don't you just send Murf your PSP and have him do it for you? Doesn't even sound like you want to learn how to do this yourself.
