So who actually got one of the 360 elites today on it's official launch day? I was shopping at a local target and they had about 4 in stock. I wonder if it generated any hype of people waiting outside anywhere to get one. Im guessing no since there were some there late in the day.

I placed my order for a drive transfer cable today. Getting my Eliete as soon as it arrives.

And I also think camping out was completely unnecessary. The Best Buy I went to yesterday (I was looking for Guitar Hero 2, which no one seems to have for some odd reason) had about 20 Elietes in the little cage where they keep all the consoles. Alot of other stores are waiting until Tuesday to display theirs, for some reason.

I did, however buy a black controller w/ the play and charge cable and battery.

If you camped for the Elite, you have issues.

The Target I work at got in 33 Wiis and about 10 Elites yesterday. Everyone showed up after 7, and even then we only sold 1 Elite to about a dozen Wiis during the initial pile-up (and unlike most of the Wiis, there were no tie-in sales for that Elite). As good as the idea of the Elite is, it's too expensive, especially without having the HD-DVD drive built in. I still think it would be in Microsoft's best interests to eliminate the Core 360, and lower the price of the remaining versions accordingly.

It was discussions/talk about that Crackdown was so crappy that they had to include the Halo 3 invite to sell the game. The guy in the comic only buys Crackdown to get the invite and the clerk gets pissed hehe.

I was surprised to see my local Target sold out of the Elites yesterday. I didn't think there would be a demand for a more expensive 360. Of course, they probably only stocked (or displayed) 2 or 3 of 'em.

They were also down to one premium, still didn't have any Wiis--although it looked like they may have had 'em recently, and finally sold that 60 gb PS3.

In fact, aside from the portables and a couple of 360 cores, Target was remarkably picked over.

I got an elite, got there when store opened, I was #11 in line they got 28 in. Traded in my other xbox so elite olny cost me $80. My problem? I dont have the serial code for my old system....I only found out you need it AFTER I got my elite in order to get the transfer cabel. I am going to try calling up soon and seeing if they have my old systems serial code on record, if not I am going to haveto try and obtain a cable somehow (not risking buying and returning it to a store as I hear many stores wont do this with the HDD's...)

Yeah i got my Elite a couple of weeks ago (Kmart) I like it very much. I do stand corrected for saying it had 65Nm when it doesnt my mistake. But it is good, it runs much better than my old one i think basically because they have changed the way the processors are placed on the board with a higher quality solder and epoxy but the pro. are still the same:angry: all n all its a good system def. worth the extra 79.99
