Its a hard decision but i think streets of rage 1 for me. Sor2 is probably better overall but i love some of the levels in Sor1 like the beach level with the waves that look like they have been done with crayon and the level with the paper blowing past in the breeze. It just has that classic effect cause it was the first one and it holds better memories.

SoR2, it seemed to play smoother and faster, which for a beat-em-up equals better.
That game made me want to be a professional side-scrolling, ass-kicker when I grew up.

its got to be sor 1
it was one of the first games i ever got and i recently downloaded it on my wii. its classic. i remember spending many an hour with my cousin dieing on the last level right at the end. i played 2 and i just didnt like it very much compared!

SOR2 <----should be the gold standard by which all other beat 'em up games are compared to.
But I also like SOR3....excuse me....*BARE KNUCKLE 3* for the much improved controls.
I'll have to vote for SOR1.

easy Streets of Rage 2 but then I liked 3 slightly more than 1 even though for the longest time all I had was part 1 when everyone of my friends was playing part 2.

American #3 would've been awesome if they used the japnese ver.....stupid SOA.

SOA screwed with the game, upped the difficulty and made it not all that fun to play (among other changes).
BK3 is far superior in that the difficulty is closer to what it was in SOR2...and is just as fun.

Minority here - I like 3 the best. 2 is way to easy for me, and 1 is fun but a bit primitave.
After playing SOR3, 2 feels very peglegged and slow-paced to me, even on the most difficult setting.
