I won this on ebay, and I realize it was a promo item for the game, but how did you get it? From preordering, how?

My guess would be that it was either given out at Sega booths at E3 or one of those shows, or that it was sold for a while in Japan. That's how most of these things seem to come into being.

Probably an E3 thing. I didn't see them, but press people get lots more cool stuff than us lowly exhibition only visitors.

It was a giveaway at last year's E3 show. Someone brought one back for me but could not remember if it was from Sega's area or the Xbox area.

Those were given away at last years E3 show at the Xbox area.
They must have given away hundreds. On their main "desk" they had these laying on top of the counter. Many grabbed a handfull as they passed by. It was then refilled by an Xbox person.

I've read this happens alot at E3, which is kinda sad.
