I was at EB today and saw Futurama (xbox) used. I heard this was a relatively rare game (and I'm a big Futurama fan) so I bought it. It's in wonderful condition and is complete.

I searched the rarity guide, but it is too new to be ranked, so that wasn't too helpful. So I searched for threads about it, and I guess all I can figure out is that (I think) it's relatively rare.

So please, someone let me know... is Futurama for xbox rare or not? :)

Thanks in advance to anyone that responds.

I'm not sure if it's rare or in high demand. Reguardless, it's good that you picked it up. I have over 300 xbox titles and I haven't found it yet. Another one to look for is Barbie Horse Adventures. Same situation. Not sure if it's rare or in high demand, but I've only seen one copy... Mine.

It's one of the titles to watch for, but it's too early to tell if it will be rare. It's a good one to hold on to, and one that will probably be in demand just due to the show. I've got about 300 xbox titles myself, and I have seen this one about three or four times. It's a good pick up, but not the hardest to find - yet.

If it's not rare, you'll regret buying it.
Awful, awful game.

The game itself wouldn't be that bad if the physics and hit detection didn't suck. Seriously, I love Zoidberg as much as the next guy, but when you play his mini quest 20 times because of poor game mechanics, you really begin the hate the poor guy.

I'm pretty sure I've noticed someone around here whose sig says something about contacting them if someone finds one. That bit alone makes it seem a bit hard to find.

I ended up finding a copy but it's really a bad game.

First game i've ever had to fight the camera just to see where I need to jump. Hit detection was off and the last boss was really easy. Would have made a better episode than a video game.

I bought "Predator: Concrete Jungle" before "Futurama" and "Predator" was a billion times better....it was also actually fun.

I ended up just getting a code from the net to see all the FMV.

It would have made a pretty good episode. I didn't play the game, nor do I intend to. I just wanted to see the FMVs :D

I gave up on the level where you're playing Leela, and you have to cross a room of lava by jumping on a bunch of sinking pillars. The camera absolutely refused to cooperate, and I went from having 17 extra lives to 2. The camera wouldn't keep up, so I kept jumping off the columns and dying. One of the most frustrating video game experiences I've ever had.

I don't suppose they're up on YouTube or something somewhere, are they?

Funny thing about that is you can simply pass that part by staying on the first pillar and you're able to jump across very easily. It's either a designers fluke, or ingenious level design.

I hated that part too. I also hated that Fry was the only one who had a gun.

Leela's levels really needed her to have a gun to fight off those damn kamikaze guys.

Aside from the terrible gameplay and camera, the game was really damn easy.

Yeah, I noticed how easy it was too. That's why I had 17 extra lives built up. And thanks for the tip about the pillars, I'm going to have to try that one out when I get my Xbox back from my brother.

Speaking of supposedly rare games, I just came back from Fry's Electronics where I bought their last copy of OutRun 2006-Coast to Coast, for $19.99. Fry's is where I bought Futurama at, after they marked it down from $49.99 to $19.99. I freakin' love that place. I don't think they even have any Xbox games over twenty bucks anymore.

I bought it a while after it came out, I enjoyed the hell out of it.. until as was mentioned, Zoiberg's single only level. I played that 50 times and gave up. Haven't gone back since.

I liked the game because I enjoy a collectathon, and I love Futurama. (And The Simpsons) So naturally I love the Futurama and Simpsons games. Even if they're just slapped together. Maybe I'm just crazy like that.
