Folks,

We are going to make this a monthly thing just like the finds thread! Got questions on what something is worth? Post it here!

Post here to request a price check on that new game you found; to check on the value of some bizarre nicknack; or to request help in assessing the value of your collection (or parts of it).

And if you have an inkling of game values, stop in and assist these folks with your knowledge! No more lost price checks! And the folks-in-the-know will know where to go!

(Of course, price checks posted outside of this thread will be moved, locked, and/or deleted, just to keep things tidy.)

A Sega Pico isn't worth much from what I can tell. I try to sell them for $25 locally but am not very succesful.

Off the top of my head Dragon Warrior 2 comlete $25 Dragon Warrior 3 $45.

Atari 2600 combat Priceless

Anybody have an idea what Boxing Nintendo Micro Vs game would fetch?

Anyone know what this Warioware Twisted display would be worth? The round peice in middle moves side to side when under light. I have never seen one besides mine. Maybe it's worth something or it could be worth nothing, I honestly have no clue.

It looks like a typical desktop sized display. Typically I don't believe they're worth much but there is always someone who may want to pay more than a few bucks for it. If it were a Wario neon sign, then we can look at bigger numbers.

Ogre Battle 64 and Harvest Moon 64 both complete. I'd grade both as followed:

box- C+
cart-A
manuals and inserts-B+

I also have the strat guide for OB64 with normal shelf wear, no rips or missing pages. Can anyone help me with these?

I've got a Nintendo Gamecube neon retail sign. It's had very little use (was never plugged in at the store itself and only rarely plugged in by me). Was wondering what something like that's estimated worth might be

Gamecube Sign (http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f178/chrissylas/IMG_0561.jpg)

I would qualify that that sign isn't quite a "neon" sign in the common definition. Neon to most people is the tubes that light up and what not. That looks like a nice plastic sign, that is lit from the back. It is a very nice sign, and if it does have a light bulb, rather than actual neon, I would hang it up and enjoy it, either way I would plug it in and enjoy it I guess!

Although not a console game and I normally don't pick up PC games, I saw this at Goodwill today and decided to pick it up...

-Box and sleeve it slides into 100% perfect (very slight crumpling at sleeve where box slides in), except for a small $3 in sharpie on the side from Goodwill pricing.
-3.5" disks 1-6
-Willy Beamish notebook
-Willy Beamish sticker sheet insert
-Sierra product catalog with business reply cards etc all intact
-Registration card
-Insert for Prodigy internet service
-insert flyer to upgrade your game to 256 color graphics
-instruction sheet

Everything is in near perfect condition, I couldn't find a flaw that would detract from value and I'm pretty picky.

Just curious if there is any kind of interest in an item like this and how much it would sell for.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a wierd one to ask. I have a PS2 game given to me that is Lord of the Rings the Third age. When booting it up, it is a Totally different game. It boots up as the PS2 game Crash Twistanity. Wierdest thing is....the games were made by two different companies. This game was a gift to me from a game store friend who got it as a return. It is legit and appears to look like a normal copy of the game otherwise.

This happens when there is an error at the disc pressing factory. There was some discussion a little while ago about this and a news article about a porno ending up on a kids movie (or game?). I wouldn't say it's valuable, but it's definitely a rare oddity that is seldom seen.

I bought a large lot from a guy recently. He was telling me he used to be a game counsleor for nintendo back in the day. In the lot he included some of his original game counselor sheets for Metal Gear , Kid Icarus , Megaman 2 , and Mario 1 & 2. Anyone have any idea of value of these?

@ psychic1: one of my friends is looking for those cheesy old things. When you get an idea of what you want to sell them for, let me know via PM.

And now, my question:

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance - complete. I know it may have gone down significantly since the release of the Double Pack, but not everyone likes the Double Pack (and some people bought Aria of Sorrow). Looking to slap a reasonable price on a spare copy so a Castlevania fan can have this in their collection.

Anyone know what a Gameboy Light goes for nowadays? Loose or boxed, whatever. I just want one.

I don't see them up for sale too often but usually $80-$100 Some of the more rare versions (other than say a typical Gold) limited editions and such, fetch a bit more.

If you want to search for them on eBay, I'd suggest using the following search string to filter out most of the crap:

Gameboy Light -(advance, worm, nyko, gbc, color, magnifier)

You'll still get some results that have nothing to do with a Gameboy Light, but it's much easier to navigate through this than a search for just "Gameboy Light" - Also check eBay Shops (especially eBay Japan shops) you tend to pay a bit more but they are easier to find.

Good luck.

I paid about 40 shipped for Aria and Harmony both complete in great shape in one auction right around when the Double Pack came out. Now that the dumping frenzy has calmed down a little I would imagine 25-35 bucks is a good range.

I had one of these, this is a personal opinion, but they weren't good for anything. Sort of a curiousity item, neat aesthetic, doesn't behave nearly like you think (looks like a giant trackball but clicks like a d-pad you grip with your palm). Assuming you find someone that wants it, 5-8 bucks maybe.. I was only able to get rid of mine in a big trade.

OK this has been bugging me for a while now, I went to a video store that was closing down and selling all rentals games and such.

After looking through all the 100's of SNES, PS1 and 64 games I found this one which I had not heard of or seen before:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/undeRCoveR_Pirate/DSC00275.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/undeRCoveR_Pirate/DSC00276.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/undeRCoveR_Pirate/DSC00277.jpg

The only information I found on it was a small Wiki page on the JAP version. It seems it was a Jap/Eur only release. It was not even on Gamespot untill I got it added.

So any ideas how rare/how much it's worth?

Actually, I think you're referring to the "Dome Controller." The one with the big palm-sized track-ball? The one I just got is a third party stick which looks more like a traditional fighter cockpit yoke.

Indeed, the dome controller was made by Quickshot too, never knew they did a flight stick style for the Sega Master System.

I have a rather unusual item...a SegaNet Scooter I won during a Quake 3 contest back in the Dreamcast days. Sega gave these out along with T-Shirts to finalists in Q3 and Unreal tourny's...Most I know of is probably about a dozen made, but that's based on the top 6 people in each tourny getting a scooter (who knows if they had tourny's for other games...etc.). Below are rather sucky pics taken with EyeToy, but the scooter is in mint condition. Can anybody guess it's value?

Yeah, I think the problem anymore is that if it isn't on eBay regularly, or something prominent (i.e. NWC), then no one really does know.

I haven't had a donut of any sort lately, so a dozen chocolate covered ones would probably do it for me.

generally worth more if they are in good shape but this kinda ties into my question. i would sell those puppys on thie message board, you'd get more out of them, not to mension hardware seems to be lacking here.

i was wondering how much a loose 2600 Vader system is with all the hookups and controllers?
also how much a Atari Game Center is worth?

$25-30 on any given day is what i'd expect to spend on it (even though its been re-released on the GBA and on a PSP Capcom Puzzler collection). It had a really late reprinting just before the PlayStation died (Capcom did it, not GQD) so its out there in much better numbers than it used to be and that helped its prices come down a little.

Around here that is a good deal, not great. I'd be able keep the games I need out of it (first 4 in my case, an r3/4 or two there), replace them with some common extras I have (SMB1/2, blaster master, etc) and resell it for 50 pretty easily (on craigslist) or 70 if I want to wait a while (they really seem to do better in the winter). If you don't need any of the games, maybe not worth the trouble.
