Does this game autodetect what region it is being played on as running the US copy on my pal saturn it is displaying km/h instead of mp/h or is it an oversight by the developers Virgin Interactive.

Its Formula One, many titles in the US display that by default. There might be a way to change it to mph in a options menu.
