I've never been a big fan of the Playchoice, but they seem to be going for quite a bit of money lately, so it's probably not a bad deal... I've heard a lot of bad things about that seller though (mostly that he shill bids his auctions). I also heard of someone who bought a PC10 from him and when it was delivered it was a completely different one than shown in the auction, so I'd study the pics and maybe take some pictures with you to make sure you're getting the same one shown. I've also heard that the guy doesn't do the maintenance that he says he does in the auction, so look it over for wiring hacks and other stuff rigged together just long enough to get you out of his shop (I'm not sure if they're commonly a problem, but you might want to test some of the other slots, since that could be why he only loaded one game in it).
Just a few warnings... I'm usually a little cautious when buying from a seller I don't know, but I'd be really cautious since he seems to have a bad reputation and you're new/inexperienced in dealing w/ arcades.

Sucks that it only comes with one game though. If the monitors are in good shape, then you should be alright. I havent gotten to working on mine yet, and mines the 2 monitor version :\ I only payed 150 for mine since it isnt perfect, but that cabinet looks like its in decent shape, better then mine, so yea

It comes with 10 games, right? 1 pre-packaged and you get to pick 9 more? What games did you pick? I only see a setup for two players, so no good for Turtles arcade :( Otherwise it seems pretty neat!

He gets ONE game...and if he wants he can pay them a fee to get more games put on. (I thought the same thing until I read the whole auction again.)

Thanks for the replies, He seems to have very good feedback.. and I will be picking it up in person.... I was thinking about having him put the other games in? that way I know they all work when I take it home... he also says that he gives a 30 day no ?'s asked warranty. or a 90 day for more $.
I really want to get Mario 1-3 1942, punch out contra, and tetris(if its available) Ninja Gaiden, Metroid

Oh and on the shill bidding I guess he could... but I bid in the last few seconds 2 times to win.... so I dont think he did or if he did he barley got his minimum price he wanted. also he had a Mario game that went for 203... I almost wish I would of tried for it instead to save some money... but I am limited on space so this way I can play 10 games all in one cab and wont get bored.

Yeah. This sums it up for me.
Looks to be a good deal. If the monitors are in great shape then you should be good to go. Now good luck on collecting some more games for it.

Well I guess I'll say it...I think you paid about $150 too much for the P10.
The cab does look really nice in the pics and the monitor looks good but for $426 I would have wanted at least 5 games. The games can be a bitch to find and Donkey Kong seems to be the most common I've seen.
But that is just my $0.02 and getting into the arcade hobby is a learning experience. Hell I screwed myself a few times before I got a handle on values and such. If your happy then thats what counts, but here a heads up with those small red buttons that select the games and players, they are very expensive for a button so keep care if mucking around the Control panel (amd I know you will ;) ). Last time I check on those buttons for a friends P10 they were about $35 a piece.

Huh. This guy's based in my town, but I had no idea he was there. Looks like he has a showroom. Think I might stop by later when I'm doing my thrift store rounds. If I stop by and I see someone loading a Playchoice 10 into a car, I'll stop and say hi!

I am going pick it up Saturday at 4 :) I bought a few games for it too.. Double Dragon, Metroid, Contra, and SMB.
