Well, it's over. No movement at all.
I got an email from a person who had emailed me earlier stating that they forgot to bid and would be willing to pay me $170 for it. This was doubtless one of the folks involved in the bidding war to $920 on the other item. My response:
You'd be willing to pay $900 for it, too, wouldn't you? I know what you were doing in that last auction.
Well, that's against eBay policy regardless. Sorry, I can't make that deal.
I do have another copy of the game which is almost brand new, but after this fiasco I'm not sure I'll be selling any more X68000 games in the foreseeable future. Sorry!
I know that's super bitchy, but considering what's gone down I guess it's permissible.
For my part, I'm trying not to get too upset about it, since it was only $90 less than what I paid for it, and only $10 shy of being able to pay for Nemesis '90 Kai (well, without shipping, fuck), which I wanted more than I needed to keep my second copy of this game.
