I'm NOT consolizing nor really building a supergun. I am modifying a cab and will be rebuilding the control panel. I thought it would be neat to have controller ports as well, so if I want to use a joypad rather than the stick now and then ....

Now then, I can find wiring diagrams for using Neo Geo controllers. However, those are harder for me to comeby and are expensive. I've heard mention of wiring up Genesis controllers. I CONSTANTLY find those at the local Goodwill. So those would be ideal. I don't mind modding the controller, and I'm sure I could figure it out myself, but a primer would also help.

I did search but didn't find anything on google or the forums here. Does anyone know of a guide showing how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

No, but you might rethink using Genesis controllers for your project. I'm a Genesis fan, but its D-pad is awful, especially if you're going to use it for 4-way games.
