Hello friends,
Happy 25th anniversary of the ColecoVision game system.
I hope you like my avatar. I worked two days on it.
After my diplomation in 2005, I had one year of personal and financial problems, then I got a job with a precarity status during another year and a half. Actually, I still have the job but I don't know for how long and if I really want to keep it.
Sorry to not giving you more news about me or my projects. With the Digital Press forum problems and the bad feeling about myself (depress), I didn't had the force to continue. Rather than leaving completly the Coleco scene, I did some things you may heard about, but not more... really.
2005 - I went to the Adamcon and I will return this year for sure. During the last Adamcon I talked freely of things I worked like the programming tools and a demo I did with Guy Foster during the Adamcon, specially for the occasion, a kind of scrolling text over a bitmap picture based on the Adamcon banner.
2005 and 2006 - I went to the Arcadia festival and I did a speech about Coleco story, ColecoVision and a sample project... in about 45 minutes. I also bring a Pippin console but we had no game to plug-it.
2005 and 2006 - I did minigames for the minigame compo. I also tried to release the minigames in cartridge.
2006 - I receive a proposal for my projects Jeepers Creepers and Bejeweled.
2006 - Coop project started to release minigames in cartridge. Many discussions with the programmers and gamers. Hardware and software solution still in evolution, but a first cartridge with 3 games (about 8k each) will be release in 2007 : "Space Hunter", "Get Booty" and "Jump or Die" (go see minigame compo archives for years 2005 and 2006).
2007 - I did two little video clip (see Youtube or DailyMotion) related to Coleco programming : one about what to download and do to check if the programming kit is working for you, one about comparing noise generator between emulators and the real thing (thanks again to Maxim from SMS Power).
2007 - Jewel Panic should be released in june by Atariage. It's my Coleco Bejeweled project simply renamed to avoid copyright problems.
If you want to contact me, please try my email at Yahoo.fr, I'm not sure I will be as active as I want here.
