I loved these games, and thought they were some of the best adventure/survival horror products ever produced. I was really looking forward to the PS2 incarnation Inferno until it was abruptly cancelled.

Still, it seems odd that series would completely disappear, especially with the movie planned for 2008. Has anyone heard anything about a possible resurrection of the franchise? Is Kronos even still around anymore?

EDIT: Nevermind, it appears that Kronos has gone out of business. I wonder then, who owns the license?

I wish they would make another game also...I like the PSone games a lot.

I would think Eidos has the license, since the games did somewhat well for them and they'd be silly to let it go completely, especially if the movie does come to frutition.

But that's entirely a guess.

Fear Effect is one of those great gems for the Playstation and who can for get when whats her face drops the towel in front of the guard. Either way sequel or not I still play Fear Effect on occasion. I have yet to try the second one is it worth it?

I actually thought the second one was better. The plot was more interesting and dipped into the realm of philosophy a little more. And the puzzles were fantastic, with most (key word being MOST) of them being pretty logical. I know it got a lot of attention for the "Oooh, lesbian" factor, but the two main character's relationships were pretty well developed. It wasn't there purely for T and A. I'd pick it up.

And I remember that towel puzzle, it took me forever to figure it out. And then I was like, "Oh fine, here! Boobies! That'll distract you! Er... um... wait... it worked?" :D

There haven't been any more because the two lesbians in the game went on vacation to a villa in France and they refused to come back for more work when Eidos contacted them about doing another installment.

They did say they would send some video footage from their trip, though. Unfortunately for Eidos, it got "lost" in the mail but rumor has it that DreamTR has recovered the footage and has it in his prototype collection :)
