Spore has shown that they've made progress, and presented some real demos. DNF has shown a few pictures of an old prospector, and that's probably all they have developed.

I think this is one of the times it'll be worth the wait. Zelda was worth the wait, right? FF12 was worth the wait, right? Spore is an ambitious product, and it needn't be rushed.

Oh snap! I've kept an eye on this puppy for about a year now and have a friend awaiting a release. I'm sure with this news he'll be a bit ruffled up because he was hoping for a release possibly this summer while taking a break from school. I guess next summer will be the "Time of Spore."

I'd be worried if it was Will Wright. I mean, this is his baby, he's not going to let it remain in development hell forever. Considering how badly I want this to be great I can wait another year.

Does anyone think that this would be a perfect Wii port? Especially considering its procedurally generated content and the power of WiiConnect24?
