I picked this game up today, but noticed there was a US version released. Are the songs the same? Anything removed or added in eaither versions? Thanks :)

They took the ending movies out of the American release. I know they translated some of the songs in the first one, I'd assume they did the same in the second one too, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, the US release of the first was "edited for content"
Dunno about the second.. only played the import.

Well, considering how pricey the US version can get, that alone could be a good reason for going with the Japanese version (although I admit I have no idea how much the Japanese version tends to go for, but I assume it's pretty cheap).

$20-$25 it looks like. But I almost always prefer the US version if there is one. It's got a neat neon green case though :)

I can't add anything except the possibility of editing and the cost of the US version would be reason enough.
Dang I wish I hadn't traded in my BAG 1 back in the day. :(

Ah what the hell, might as well keep it. Seems like I have a better chance running across an import playing Playstation before a US copy of this game anyways.

I had the JPN BAG2 once, sold it, then got the US BAM2, and was pretty off-put by a couple of the "edits" in the game. Fairly insignificant stuff, along the lines of the 1st. But having seen the JPN version, I had a hard time getting use to 'em. Can't remember off the top of my head what they were, but at the time I wished I'd kept the JPN version. Since I'm back in Japan, I'll probably poke around a bit to see if I can't pick it up again.
