Battlebots for the Gamecube (and for other non GBA platforms I think) it would seem has been cancelled. I got an e-mail informing me of such from EBWorld.com.

That really sucks. I would have liked a robot war game similiar to Battlebots.

Not a shocker, since Comedy Central dropped the show in January, and since games based on lame-duck TV franchises (if James Cameron's Dark Angel is any evidence) don't sell for beans.

Although maybe they canceled the GCN version because third-party GCN games don't sell for beans, either.

I need to find out if THQ sent out a previewable version (considering the scheduled release date, I would think they did)...

Which means I'll probably never see Dragon's Lair 3D for the PS2. Regardless of the reviews, I really wanted this game for my preferred system. Oh well.....

If you have an Xbox and an HDTV, Dragon Lair's 3D will pump out 1080i visuals for Dirk and most of the other polygon-constructed objects, which looks stunning. (I think it's the first and still the only 1080i Xbox title.) The reviews, unfortunately, are correct -- it's a platform game that doesn't even get the JUMP right.
