Netplay in ZSNES, especially for Super International Cricket

Hi

Has anyone tried out the netplay feature of zsnes over the internet? If so, does it play well or can lag seriously cripple gameplay?

What I really want to do is play Super International Cricket against someone, preferably from Australia to reduce lag.

it plays beautifully if you both have a decent connection, I had very little lag issues with the actual gameplay, the only problem i had was the text chat was a little slow.
