Recently within the pass 6 months I think they've been going for ~$500 on ebay. (from video game collector magazine)

Don't fool yourself, those are the kinds of places that will say "That's what it goes for on E-Bay!!1111".

Just offer what you think is fair.

I go by if it goes for so much complete, double or triple the item's cost.

But that being said, it is legend of zelda, so just go for what you think is right. Never forget to get his input so you can counter offer and come up with a comprimised price.

Slip and fall down in the store. Cry out and scream in agony. Tell the owner that you're going to sue for $250,000.00, but you'll settle out of court right now for 20 bux and that old Nintendo tape. ;)

/me takes a quick drag on his candy cigarello and points out the Antiques Roadshow (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100273) thread stickied at the top of the forum for just these kinds of questions.
