View Full Version : Think using replays to make videos is bad?

I'm curious...

I want to post more videos of me playing games and whatnot to my Youtube account. I already have my old Simpsons playthrough from the DP tournament a while back. But the thing is, I can't record stuff while I'm playing because my computer really sucks.

What I want to do is play games using emulators and record the keypresses and whatnot. Like MAME replays. Then I would run those and record them using something like FRAPS.

Think this is fair, or do you think this is cheating? I don't use cheats or stuff like that, but I am curious about your opinions. :)

I don't see why it would be cheating at all -- it's just a record of your live input.

Yeah, just FRAPS the playback. Though you might not get the right number of frames...hmm...

I used a program called... Foxmagic to record my old Simpsons playthrough. There's other tools, Fraps was just the one that came to mind.
