Hello folks, just spent a week in Vegas with my family and girlfriend and figured I have lots of good advice to share with those who plan on going to CGE 2007.

First check out this link for a 2007 coupon pocketbook. I picked up one of these just for the buy-one get one free coupons
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/whyjoin-pocketbookofvalueslist.cfm

check through the list and see if there are coupons you will use, good deals on buffets and deli's.

I spent the first 2 nights at Binion's on Fremont St.(because I had a B1G1) nice hotel, beds weren't the most comfortable and pilows were small. Good location walking distance of hotels on fremont st. only bad thing is you have to take the bus to the strip.

Spent the 3rd and 4th night at the Tropicana. Nice hotel, across the street you have the Excalibur, New York, New York! , Luxor, MGM Grand, and the Mandalay Bay.

Now my advice is if you plan on gambling is to get a Tropicana Players card, its free to sign up and when you feed $100 through the slot machines you get a free T-Shirt and 2 free tickets to the magic show which is at 2pm and 4pm, magic show I'd rate a 3 out of 5, but for free I can't complain. otherwise they always have B1G1 tickets and its $35-40 for 2 people. NOW if you play $300 through the slots you also get Folies Bereger tickets (plus the shirt and magic show) Folies was entertaining, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I had free tickets , they also have B1G1, so it would be around $70 for 2 people.

New York, New York! has a B1G1 coupon in the book for the roller coaster, its regularly $12 a person or an all day pass for $25.

Went to Excalibur and say the Tournament of Kings show. Which is a medievil dinner and entertainment where the knights of King Arthur have a competition. Swordfighting, jousting, acrobatics, a good show to see. regularly $50, but if you go to a half price ticket dealer early in the morning you can get tickets for $35 a person.

Mandalay Bay has shark tanks and other exotic fish. Its $16 for about an hours worth of looking at fish and sharks in huge tanks, kinda neat, but you only need to see it once. If you like fish its worth seeing.

Went to the Star trek experience with my aunt. Its about $42 a person, there are lots of B1G1 free tickets available, they also have $25 off coupons all over the place at different hotels and flyers.

Star Trek Museum seems really small for having 30 years with of items they COULD put in it, there just isn't a whole lot there, but they do have a borg 4D experience that is kinda cheesy, but really cool. 3D is awesome and 4D will make you jump.

Stayed at Bill's Gambling hall the 5th and 6th day. Small hotel located behind the flamingo and next to Bally's. Small casino but good location, right across from Paris, Caesars Palace, Belagio, Bally's. Rooms are extremely nice, Large soft comfortable beds, good pillows, easy access to rooms where you don't have to walk a half mile to your room everytime. Also every room has a 42" Plasma HD TV in every room.

Bally's was handing out coupons in front of the hotel where if you signed up for a players card you would get a free show ticket for Jubilee.
Paris Paris had where if you signed up for a players card you would get a free pass to the top of the Eifel Tower. BUT both casino's use the same players card, so you can only get ONE free Coupon. Regualr price for rides to the top of the Eifel tower were $12 a person, not sure what Jubilee tickets were.

Went and saw ICE which is playing at Rivera, its a Russian ice skating show with some comedy, pretty good show, I wouldn't pay full price but I got half off by buying the tickets at a half-off ticket booth earlier that morning.

There is a Monorail that runs from The hilton down to the MGM Grand(with stops in-between. Its $5 one way OR they have a 10 pack of tickets for $35. BUT when your on your plane or when your in the airport there are books that have $7 off coupons on a 10 pack of tickets. so for $28 you can get 10 monorail tickets. which is a good deal for 2 or 3 people.

Buses are $2 a trip or $5 for a 24 hour pass.

Louie Anderson had a comedy show going at the Excalibur, which my parents went too and rated it an 8 out of 10, Carrot Top was at the Luxor which I didn't see.

Be prepared to walk, bring comfortable shoes. Across the street from Riveria is the Circus Circus, which has a decent arcade, the best priced arcade was at the Bellagio. Also Slots-o-fun is across the street from the Riveria, they have cheap blackjack tables, and roulette tables. Also footlong hotdogs for $.99 which are pretty good.

Just thought I'd share some advice. Best advice is to get free show tickets by getting players cards, and to go to the half price ticket booths early in the morning to buy show tickets.
