Are there any differences between the PC or the NonPC versions of the game, like is the PC version have a gray cart or whatever?

I have the PC version of firered and the cart is red if that helps any.

The only difference you'll find is the "Players Choice" banner across the front of the box.

The original copies came with the WiFi connector things.

Let me make a small clarification:

The wireless adapters included with the original FR/LG are technically WiFi, but are NOT used to connect to Nintendo's WiFi network the way that the Nintendo DS and Wii do. You cannot play against people across the internet with Pokemon FR/LG or Emerald (which also used the adapter, although it didn't come with it). They are ONLY used to connect to other local GBAs wirelessly.
