Can anyone recommend some good sites to buy such books from? I know this could just as easily go in the modern gaming forum, but both are equally appropriate, so I flipped a coin on it.
Sheet music is good, but I'm definitely far more interested in guitar tablature. I know there's plent of sites out there with .txt versions of such, but I'm not interested in that, just books.
There's nothing in particular I'm really looking for...just looking to browse and see what's out there.
Hope you can help! :)

I know you said 'just books', and no 'txt' files, however youre missing out on the one inbetween... (well in my eyes, the superior one!)
Guitar Tab Software such as 'Guitar Pro' and 'Tabit'
Both of these have a very wide range of VG Songs tabbed out for download...
Why though?! Well these are full tab editors, you can play back multitrack tab files in midi or RSE (simulated instruments) in which the tab will run across the screen and play thru your speakers allowing you to play along reading the music in time on the screen.
Ontop of that, as you can get the tab playing back to you, it is so much easier as you can work out the timing of each note and so on...
Seriously, id recommend these over any tab book any day... I actually taught myself guitar years and years ago using this software and ive never looked back... now im actually writing my own music on the software, thats how much its helped me :)
Seriously, books are outdated :-P
Have a quick glance at the VG tabs avaialbe to:
Tabit: http://www.tabit.net/tabs/list.php?f=399
Have fun is all i can say, and i hope this helps... personally i havent seen a sheet music book for a VG before, but im sure they exist!!
All the best, Adam

Nice! Thanks for the heads up Cauterize. :) Always interested in music software.
Sorry rbudrick, I can't help with your search. I've often wondered where to find VG sheet music myself.

I can play some piano, and I own the sheet music for Final Fantasy I, II and III. My keyboard doesn't go high enough to do the prelude, and I don't have the money or room for a piano, but everything else sounds like it's spot-on.
