Read title.
I'm ripping my hair out.

I have sold hundreds of items on eBay. This new seller form fucking sucks. Why do they have to make it more complicated? What was wrong with the old form? Why cant I figure out how to show that I will ship worldwide?

Uh, that option is right there. There should be a subheading near the bottom that says "Seller will ship to the US and the following:", then there's a bunch of checkboxes. There should be a listbox on top of those that says "Worldwide".

It's annoying and it gives me errors, but it's not that bad and it's a bit faster than the old six-page form.

Yeah, I hated it at first too (mainly just hated having to change my template. But, now that I've done a few auctions in this format, its much faster to do a "sell similar."

I often get errors when doing a sell similar, though. Certain options vanish... namely, the instructions way at the bottom, the shipping costs, and the option to allow payment via "Other" methods (not just Paypal, Check, or Money Order).

I miss the old form too...Safari never rendered the popup windows correctly, so I ended up having to switch to Firefox...I like AJAX, but sometimes simpler is better.

It's interesting that you mention that, because I had the same problem today. I decided to take advantage of an ebay listing sale loophole by posting items on my previous-buying-only account and I ran into problems I didn't know could exist.

If you're posting a new listing as opposed to "selling similar," you actually need to change one of your settings in the shipping preferences to show 3 domestic/3 international shipping services instead of the default 1 domestic service. Only then will your Item Details officially say that you ship internationally. It took me TEN MINUTES to find this out, and I'm well-versed in the ebay layout.

The new form is still maddeningly buggy (see some of my other posts for exactly why), but admittedly, it is slightly faster for selling similar/same, as someone already mentioned.

They changed the form AGAIN? Jeez. I remember the last time they changed the form, it was a major pain in the patootie, because EVERYTHING WAS ERASED. I had to retype all my shipping setting, shipping instructions, and payment instructions. Took me almost an hour just to get things back to where they used to be.

Major pain in the :ass:

Dont worry eBay will change to form again soon to an even worse version. I hate that they keep changing stuff. For some reason now when I list items my browser starts running very slow after a few listings. Mike : )

Change is okay, but why do they have to ERASE all my settings?

Grrr.

I've noticed that if you don't let the page load completely -before doing anything-, the settings are erased. So wait until the page has finished loading. That usually stops things from getting wiped, but it doesn't work all the time.

You would figure eBay would make the pages load quicker and not slower. It seems that eBay really is just making things easier for themselves. I used to be able to list more auctions quicker before. Mike : )

The latest selling form drove me into the arms of Turbo Lister.

It's not the best program, but I'm way happier with it than the current OR even the older selling form.

Everything's erased and I have to retype all my instructions (pay with paypal, etcetera, etceteta). Stupid, stupid ebay.

Just place in your discription that you ship worldwide.

I use Camino and it works great for me. Safari always gave me problems.
