No, this really is a 1/78 and is worth this amount. Look at how much the far-more common special Jap systems go for, like the Hello kitty and STARS editions. You never see this type up for sale.

It's not a question of the rarity of the console or how much others are willing to pay for it, but the personal opinion of investing in such a piece of plastic at the rate it is currently going for. :-D

Especially one that looks like that! Ugh. I'll take Helly Kitty or Stars any day over that. Maybe they realized how god-damn ugly it was, and stopped after making 78!

I don't know about this one. It looks rigged to me. I have seen the prototype disc, and it is basically a GD-Rom with marker writing. I doubt Sierra got to the final print stage for the GD-rom as depicted in this photo. Hell, I have Half-Life for the DC (copied)....I thought everyone had this by now??

How did you get Half-Life for the Dreamcast?
Did someone dump the game when they realized it was'nt going to be realized?
Do you think Sierra SHOULD have released the game? I've heard that it was susposed to be the best version. :)

i saw a brand new hello kitty (pink) dc with everything... totally complete on eBay... it went for 40 bucks... i didn't have the cash at the time otherwise i'd have a nice pink jap DC by now ;)

I don't have Half-Life :? Where do you find it? I'd love to have a copy as well and my DC plays CD_R just fine.

Well, interesting results -- I like looking at these after they close to see what happens. The DC system sold for more then $2000 and the Half Life auction was pulled! O_O
