Thought that subject would grab ya.

Feel free to comment - I might add that I really don't do sugar but was compelled to try that NES cake. This morning I have a sugar hangover!

Wowee, what a cake! That thing looks awesome! The only problem is, after eating it everyone was blinking ...

Brings me to asking the question yet again:

Why is it that I'm NO WHERE NEAR NEW JERSEY!?

That looks fun. Too bad you're so far away.

The tournament was great. We should do it more often, even if there isn't any special prize.

That tournament was hilarious. I enjoyed it even though I suffered what was IMO the second most arbitrary elimination (the first was Hardie "losing" Entombed). It appears the best man won though.

Great pics, like always!!!

joe, I promise, I will be at a NAVA meet one day... (maybe August? It'll depend on my friends, as it'd be a group road trip)

There is definitely a lot of luck involved in Maze Craze. I played some against Mike later in the day, and half of the time it was luck who decided who won or lost. And entombed was definitly a weird game; that block removal/addition thing was tough to figure out. I don't feel bad at all losing, because I know Mike is better.

I don't think Maze Craze is as much about luck as others do. If the game is new to you perhaps, but seasoned players know that 3 robbers have to be studied before you start dashing toward the exit. Like the ghosts in Pac-Man, they have a very predictable pattern. It's all about hiding out, letting them pass by, then making a break for it.

That tournament will definitely be a fixture at future NAVAs. I've already got ideas for new games to inject into it. For now though, "killersquirel" is house champ.

Imagine if I go -- that'll be one more girl. :P

I enjoyed the night there. The cake was great. I wanted more, but wanted someone else to try it, too. Who's birthday was it? Was it even a birthday cake? It was the most creative one I have seen. I hope the next NAVA will have another competition. Next time I will try to arrive 15 minutes earlier so that I could be in the competition.
