*NOTE* Videos on bottom to give a better feel for the game!
This is not an import! yes infact this game was just released in the US (it has been out in japan for awhile), and yes all of the voices in the game are in japanese (and no there are no options to have english voices) its a top down 1v1 mech shooter (eventhough they are small onscreen) that plays like a traditional SHMUP. Ever wish you could transform into a boss from a SHMUP and wreck havoc? well you do in this game, during battles you build up a bar that you can activate to turn into a "BOSS" and so crazy on your opponents.
I rented the game from gamefly (I dont recommend purchasing the game as it costs $60 and trust me unless you are REALLY inlove with the game it only makes an excelent rental) and am really enjoying it. Online is pretty dead in terms of finding games (mostly japanese players) but I really enjoy the single player anyway.
Heres an example of a boss fight from the game (not there are only 2 boss stages in the game, meaning ones where you do not vs another mech but rather some other huge machine, eventhough each fight seems like a boss fight anyway):

And here is an example of a online battle 1v1 (note at 1:15 and 1:45 is when they transform into a "BOSS" cool huh?):

This game seemed to come out of nowhere, and will probably sell REALLY bad since nobody seems to even know it exists

It's been out in Japan for a while now...I've heard good things about it from shooter fans, and questionable things about it from other outlets.
The short version from these other outlets is that while good, it's not 60 dollars good, so I'm waiting for the inevitable price drop.

Same here. I actually had it preordered, thinking they would price it like EDF 2017....boy was I wrong.

I fixed my wording alittle bit I made it sound like the game had no import. But I agree $65 (with tax) is a rediculous amount of money for this game, if you ask me it could have been done on XBLA. This game will be less than $30 in no time though.

That's kind of the exact opposite of what a sleeper hit is, dude.

It's "shmup," not "shump." I'm being nit-picky, sorry, but I saw that word again and again.
To be honest though, I'm not that impressed. The gameplay video looks like typical "bullet-hell" to me, and the voices are both annoying and distracting.

I have never heard of this game but it looks good. I think I will pick it up even at full price. Yes shocking I know.

I pre order it and take delivery on May 23.
I am enjoy it as it is blend fight and shoot well enough for me. I am casual fighting game fan and serious shoot them up player so it is work for me.
It really is more a vs fighting style game with shoot them elements blend in. I still enjoy it and is worth $60 (consider I originally pay $75 for Korean LE - and was about to purchase Asia 360 until USA version was announce).
I am suggest that if you are want it than pick it up otherwise wait it out it will drop in price due to poor sales. I have wait over a year to play and the wait is worth for fellow like myself your millage may very.

Reminds me a lot of Change Air Blade. Is there a "sudden death" mode without shields? Shields always make shooting games less fun for me.

Really? sleeper hit to me always meant a good game with really low sales....please explain....

could be either that, or something that will unexpectidly sell well.. Example being Katamari or guitar hero

yeah, a sleepr hit is a game, movie, book etc, that isn't projected to do well, but comes out of left field and gets crazy popular despite (usually) a lack of advertising.
Sleeper hits also (usually) gain their status by word of mouth.

maybe you were thinking of "cult", which often means a game, movie, with a large fanbase, but still did poorly at retail/boxoffice etc.

I almost imported a 360 for this game (and others).
I think $60 is a bit much, but I will surely be getting this one when the pricce drops.

alright thanks for clearing that up, I will probably still call low selling games sleep hits since I have been for years lol.
I have completed all of the story modes for each character and have 2 more score attack's to go before I basicaly complete the entire single player experience...

100 hour achievement? I hate time achievements.... leaving Viva Pinata on for ~30 hours without being able to play my 360 was tough enough...
Edit: AND 1000 games played? I think that's worse than the 100 hour one. :( How long does 1 game take?

Wartech: Senko No Ronde just dropped to $30 new at Gamestop and I am so glad I picked it up! Does anybody know what the pattern is to beating the boss and the end of the game?

theres a video of the final boss (one of them, I guess you are talking about the satelite type thing), it is pretty easy with certain characters, but otheres its very difficult (I beat it with all characters, some I got very lucky on).
Also $30 is a good price for this game, thats what it should have been released at to start with.

I've been waiting for ages for this game to come out. One more reason to get a 360, that's for sure.
