In the early days of my game collecting, I found a very strange system in a thrift store. I was buying too much so I decided not to get the machine. I just remember it was very strange (unusual joysticks and a tape drive).

I put the hardware back but took the tape still inside the unit. That was almost 10 years ago! I still have the tape, but I don't know the name of the system. I suspected Creativevision. Can anyone identify this game/system?

Almost certainly NOT the Creativision, as since it wasn't sold here, you wouldn't find software made in MI for it...

Perhaps it's the Interact? Take a look at http://www.angelfire.com/mi/ujb/interact.html (there are popups, sorry).

You're a genius! Yep, that was the system!

Plus, this partiicular title is not on his list. So what is the relative value/demand for this system? I can't believe I didn't buy it.

Not sure about the system, but tapes in general never really get any kind of money. I guess it is because of their unreliability...although I still do have original Commodore Vic tapes that work fine.

I'm not sure what kind of demand there is... I stay away because it doesn't take cartridges and suspect others do to, but I think good condition ones have sold for "decent" money (not "big" money though).

Despite tapes not bringing much dosh, a previously unheard of one may be valuable to a real collector.
