I picked up this silly little thing quite a while ago and I stumbled across it when I was cleaning this past week. Anyone here actually used one of these? Are they hard to find? I'm fairly sure it's an SNES backup device, but I can't test it since I don't have the 6 AA batteries this beast requires. PICS:

It allows you to save your game at any point... lasts about a week, as I recall. They aren't too hard to find on ebay.

You're right. That is a silly little game saver you have there, tough guy!

Yes, I have one of those. Its called a "Nataki Gamesaver". You do not need any batteries to operate it. Take the power cord from the SNES, and stick it into the Gamesaver, then take the little cord on the Gamesaver and stick it into the Super Nintendo. The batteries are only nessasary if you want to take the game and saver out, and say, take it to a friends. This way, it would keep your save intact by keeping power to the game. This device can be quite useful. Any time you are doing well in a game, you could press select and the shoulder 'L' button to save your point in the game. If you screwed up, you could automatically press select and 'R' and you would return to your save point. This was the only way I could beat Itchy and Scratchy.
I would estimate it's value at 15 dollars.
Anyways, have fun with it....

I snagged one new at Wal Mart for $10 in 1998

This thing could have come in handy back when I was playing the SNES, but hey, it's another addition to my collection of peripherals. Thanks for the input. Who knows, perhaps I'll use it one day playing Pilotwings.
