I'm always glad when I see a new shooter. However, it'd be nice to see a few more horizontal scrolling shooters. Seems like the majority of shooters released in the last 5-10 years have been vertical scrolling.

I've got to agree here. There's been R-Type Final, Border Down, Gradius V, and Progear no Arashi that I can think of for notable releases...and I guess maybe Sigma Star Saga if you count that. Just about every other commercial release has been vert. I guess this is due to Cave leading the pack, but not being able to make a decent hori (Progear!). Has there even been a sprite-based hori since Progear? Last Hope doesn't count...
I...like hori shmups a lot more than vert ones. I guess I don't really like staring at the ground for a whole game.

I could only find this (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96782) thread where Muchi Muchi Porki! was mentioned, but its originally about another game so i made a new one :)
