Hey sorry tried a serach but 'PSP' is too short to search for PSP SHMUP.

I just got the system with Gradius Collection and am looking at getting Every Extend Extra. What other shmups are worth looking at for the system?

Cheers in advance guys and gals!

Platypus is pretty cool looking, though I've not played it yet.

It is a good $10 game, but I'd be very hard pressed to spend more than that.

I'll be picking it up when I can get it for $5, myself.

I would recommend EEE though. IMHO, the best game on the system.

Yeah, you have to buy Paradious Portable (it's an import, if you hadn't figured that out by the picture in the above post). You won't find anything better.

Whoops took a while to read this after posting it.

Every Extend should be in the post. Parodius and Salamander are on the PSP? Awesome I didn't know that, will pick up for sure. Twinbee would be a good addition to my growing PSP collection too. :D

Thanks for letting me know about those games.

So what are the state-side releases? I'm still not about to get a PSP but I've been buying some of the games here and there when they're cheap. I love shooters and portable shooters are nice to have.

I've been wanting to get Twinbee imported on the Saturn for awhile now, how is it on the PSP?

It's well done with the exception of Pop N Twinbee, if put in full screen mode that game is stretched beyond imagination. The rest of the games don't appear to be stretched at all, with Pop N being the exception.

I hear Star Soldier on PSP is nice. Tate mode in full effect. :)

Thank god the PSP is region-free. Did anyone get Parodius Portable for less than $40? That's one title I'm sure will never come out in the US.

Not that this is going to be particularly helpful, but I got mine sealed/new for $35 shipped from a DP member here over in the B&S forum. He only had one copy to sell.

Got mine for around 33 dollars, same with Salamander and Twinbee Portables, just got to nose around a bit on Ebay (mine came from a US seller, all still sealed). Other than a few songs changed in each game (copyright fears from Konami) the gameplay is intact. I actually paid around 40 bucks for Gradius Collection, though I got that at EB (imports costing less, now that's a rarity).
