I recently started playing KOTOR (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) for the first time and everything runs perfectly fine...that is until I enter a Cantina that was in the Upper City. I get this weird graphic effect that makes the screen look as if a bullet went right through it.

Here's a screenshot I took:

I thought it was just that Cantina but then when I entered the Lower City Cantina, I get the same problems.

Here are my computer specs (btw, my comp met the minimum requirements):

CPU: AMD Duron processor 1.00 GHz
Memory: 512MB
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200

Is there a way to fix it? Thanks for reading.

Topics like this are better suited for the technical forum.

Anyway, I am not a PC gaming expert, but I would guess it has something to do with the graphics card, drivers or display settings in the game. The first thing I would do is see if you have the newest drivers for your video card. Then I would turn everything visual as low as possible in game and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't then maybe it is the video card itself. I've gone through three in three years; bad luck I guess.

Yeah...it seems to be the video card. The thing I don't get is that it works fine with everything else in KOTOR. Anyways, thanks for the help.

another vote for "check your drivers" and "update them anyway" :)

Do you have the latest patches for the game?

Yeah, I do. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and that didn't work either. :|

Do you have the newest version of directx? Check support for the game, maybe there's some solution for it on the manufacturer's website.

Maybe Greedo shot first?

LOL at the most recent comment. Anyways, when I installed the game, it said that I have DirectX9.0b or higher.
